LEADING INDICATORS
Leading indicators ensure appropriate attention to health and safety risk identification and management on project sites. Our focus is on the verification of the existence of safety procedures, risk control, and awareness of potential hazards.
Communication is vital to ensure everyone is kept well informed and safe. Accountability from our leadership is key. Focus area indicators respond to implementation of preventative measures identified by the Gallant Safety Committee.
EMPHASIS ON VERIFICATION
LEADERSHIP INSPECTION TOURS
We care about our workforce. Gallant Builder leadership is personally on the ground ensuring safety and well-being.
SELF-VERIFICATION ASSESMENTS
To ensure that the management and verification on our projects is as rigorous as it should be, business leaders undertake a self-assessment audit of project site HSE plans and critical activity.
INDEPENDENT AND THIRD PARTY AUDITS
We utilize individual HSE internal audits and third party safety consultants. These independent audits are in-depth risk based audits of all of our projects, specifically high risk projects.
IMPLEMENTATION OF SAFER DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION PRINCIPLES
We eliminate or significantly reduce hazards or the use of materials requiring need for elaborate safety or environmental management.
